3/26/2018 0 Comments Mentor and brown swatches My mentor is Joseph. His art is more around imaginary and fiction pieces. He tries to do things more off the beaten path. What I can learn from having his as a mentor is having someone I can go to to ask questions or if I get stuck on a piece and not sure where to go to next. Josephpaoliloapex18.weebly.com You make brown by staring with orange and slowly adding blue, for lighter browns add white after.

The place represented is the view of Jamaica when we first arrived on our cruise. This place is important to me because it is a place I will never forget, it was a gorgeous site filled with so many great people. The most challenging part of my painting was the clouds, some turned out darker than I wanted. The most successful part to this piece I think is the colors of the island itself. I started the piece with the blues (sky then water), I then did the island, the beach, the clouds and finished with doing small details.
