Is copying always plagiarism or is there a gray area? Explain your thoughts. I don't think copying is always plagiarism. With this piece I found a picture and drew the exact thing as the picture I found. It helped me learned to draw a little more and it was a good way to practice. I'm not a very creative person so I needed something to look off. I think it's more plagiarism when people are selling artwork and one replicates it saying it was an original piece. This was just for art class and I didn't want to sell it nor say I came up with idea myself. But when someone claims they design a piece an artist created all on their own and someone else replicates it and sells it saying it's their own then you're taking credit for someone elses art that they created all on their own, then it's not yours truly. I fully give google credit for helping me find a picture, I just needed something to try and draw because I'm not creative at all. What is the point of this class? What did you get out of it? The point of this class was to help students understand the dedication and talent that is behind art. Most people just see the outcome piece and look but people but their hearts and hard work into pieces. Artists express themselves through art which not a lot of people can do. I learned a lot from the various projects like from this piece how the face is as wides as 5 eyes, I would've never put that together. I also learned about the difference between working with different paints like and what each will look like in the end ( glaze versus regular after putting clay art in the kiln). I am not an artistic person but the class pushed me to try new things and I was proud with the things I can do when I try and want a good outcome for my piece!

The place represented is the view of Jamaica when we first arrived on our cruise. This place is important to me because it is a place I will never forget, it was a gorgeous site filled with so many great people. The most challenging part of my painting was the clouds, some turned out darker than I wanted. The most successful part to this piece I think is the colors of the island itself. I started the piece with the blues (sky then water), I then did the island, the beach, the clouds and finished with doing small details.
